Belgium E-Business Expo, the first Belgian salon dedicated to online commerce, will take place this coming 19 and 20 of March at the Tour et Taxis site in Brussels. The exhibition, which seeks to draw large companies along with retailers and small and medium enterprises, is an initiative of the Netherlands association OGZ (Organisatie Groep Zuid), which organised a similar event in Utrecht last year.
In 2007, e-commerce generated a total of between 650 and 700 million euros in sales in Belgium, a hefty increase of 70% over the previous year’s figure.
